Riverside - Riverside’s Careline Service Passes External Inspection with Flying Colours!
10 November 2009 Christine Tilbury, Assisted Living Manager (Client Services) said, “I would like to thank everyone at Riverside Carlisle for their support during the inspection. We are delighted with the result which has proven that we are providing an excellent service to our customers which can give people that added peace of mind that is so important. We know that we have staff that are dedicated to their work and this inspection result is recognition of the outstanding service that we offer.” ENDS Notes to editor: Careline was established in 1987 and is part of Riverside. The service helps people who are elderly or at risk to remain living independently in their home. This is achieved through the clever combination of a 24 hours telephone link to Careline, assessment and identification of need; the support of a Mobile Response Service and appropriate technology. Our Carlisle based Central Control Room is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days per year by specially trained staff who are there to help. Riverside is one of the leading social housing and regeneration organisations in England, owning or managing around 50,000 homes with 2,000 staff and a turnover of more than £180 million. Our record of achievement dates back to our inception as Liverpool Improved Houses in 1928. We provide sheltered and supported housing for elderly, homeless and vulnerable people, in addition to general needs affordable properties for rent and shared ownership. We also invest in community projects, from youth engagement schemes aimed at reducing anti social behaviour, to credit union grants tackling financial exclusion. Our vision is transforming lives, revitalising neighbourhoods.
