Riverside in North East - About Us

Background

Newcastle & Whitley Housing Trust Limited was formed in 1927 by a group of philanthropic businessmen after hearing a sermon preached in 1927 at St. Luke's Church on 'Homes'.

Initially, the Trust concentrated on acquiring and refurbishing property for rent in the inner city areas of Newcastle and Gateshead but over the years, it expanded its activities to provide sheltered accommodation for elderly people and for tenants with other support needs. We have properties in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Yorkshire and Humberside.
